How have you been? Haven't seen enough of your thoughts lately. Busy. And frankly a little disillusioned with all the vicious hostility on SI. As the initial belief that people were really here to talk, listen, and learn from each other gave way to the understanding that most are just here to bicker with hostile strangers, the enthusiasm kind of ebbed :-) Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean there aren't people that are out to get you....<s> I am reading Clarke's book Against All Enemies these days. It is a fascinating read, and spans quite a few years, giving an insider view as well as first-hand accounts of some very interesting points in recent history. And Clarke is definitely a paranoid man - a characteristic you would probably want in a guy in charge of counterterrorism. He tells of how, some years ago, most people who heard about their efforts to "create some air defense system in case terrorists tried to fly aircraft into the Capitol, the White House, or the Pentagon simply thought we were nuts." :-)
