yes, but look out a year or two. May 05 is at 116.20, and March 06 at 105.75. while obviously not as liquid as the near months, just as obviously, the price is much lower. so if you believe this is an ongoing problem which is perhaps going to get worse, it seems the farther-out contracts may be interesting. i don't know how applicable that is to the industrial metals, but in any case, that is the approach i have taken to the energies.
