I know you will never do this, but you should pick up the current copy of Vanity Fair, and read the article entitled "The Road to War." Pay particular attention to the latter 1/3 of the long article, which covered US actions in the UN. One of the first things a post-Bush administration will have to do is repair our tattered relationship with the United Nations.

All conservatives, indeed most Americans, love to bash the UN. Until we need it. As far as international corruption goes, take a look as US-backed multinationals first-- Haliburton and the rest of big oil especially. They make corruption inspired by poor UN management look like a game of five card monty.

You really need to get out more. The key security problem confronting the world isn't Islamic militancy; it's American arrogance.
