bill riley show also had a priest from notre dame on and he supported the bishops and not the st. louis bishop. gave some stupid answer we have to go careful here. (in other words the bishops could get into trouble again) The priest was on a kick of keeping church and gov. separate. To me the church teaches abortion (, esp. late term) is wrong. Kerry is for any type of abortion yet the church will not come out. What kind of message are the bishops of United States sending to its followers?

If it is OK to deny communion to Kerry because he is pro-choice, then it would seem to OK to deny communion to any politician who supports the death penalty. The Catholic Church is also opposed to the death penalty.

Kerry's position should register with every faith, not just Catholicism. I agree with you. One cannot "turn off' his "religion" just because he is in public office. J. Fonda Kerry wants to dictate to Jesus HIS terms, and take it or leave it. Seems the only reason he is adamant about taking communion is that he is out to let the church know who is in charge.

I am not Catholic, but IMO, there should not be one Catholic vote for Kerry as it stands.
