It is amazing to me that we are hiring foreigners, at incredible pay (for obvious reasons), instead of hiring Iraqis. What are we thinking?

Ain't gonna work.

Even if it could have worked then, it won't now.

The U.S. squandered it's small window of opportunity.

There never was much of a chance, the idea of trying to force help upon a people who never asked for it was doomed from the beginning.
