I did not mean to imply that people could not be warm and fuzzy about their hatreds- I think hatreds are one of the most enduring and strongest emotions many people have, and people clearly cherish them, and take them out and shine them up in public. I don't know why they do that, but they clearly get something very gratifying out of it.
