"Close stops can make up for incomplete DD". I don't think so. Please keep a record of your trading and see. After 2-3 years of results you may be convinced one way or the other. Of course one man's results in 2-3 years are not the equivalent of a careful large scale test, but a strong result one way or the other may help. Once upon a time I did such a thing and I could see that in the absence of details about a company I don't want to invest. Stops didn't save me.
Sure Buffett struck out occasionally. However I'll trade track records with him any time he's willing. DD wan sui(banzai or whatever). Long live due diligence!
