On another list, Bogdan made me cry: "michal's eyemods are raw, jagged, crappy, blurred. you forget all about the sharpness mania. you forget all about contax vs leica, contax vs nikon, center resolution vs side resolution, f2 vs f8. the pictures do not attempt to copy the clarity of reality. the pictures do not attempt to exceed the clarity of reality. they do not try to BE reality. we see pictures on the web. we see more pictures on the web than we do in print. we dream of the ideal screen, smooth, with infinite resolution, rendering perfect curves. the pictures are ashamed to be made of pixels. The pictures are afraid to be made of tiny, colored, lighted, square pixels.
