OK, I accept the invitation to talk 1970s Corollas.

Ours blew its engine in subzero weather (I think the oil congealed) after about 160,000 miles and the only used engine available was from a larger car. Even with an automatic transmission that car went from 0-35 mph faster than almost anything. The mileage dropped from about 30 mpg to about 18 mpg but it was fun to drive in the city.
