"It's my pleasure to lead you to actual information"

What's really funny is that when you do, it PROVES my point and REFUTES yours. Really funny.

"Just think, you used to say marginal rates were some kind of liberal propaganda"

When did I say that? Are you talking about the "effective rates" that Buddy falsely says show that the rich pay less in taxes than everybody else?

"You kept repeating the lie that the bottom don't pay taxes"

The bottom 33% don't pay Fed Income tax. I've never said otherwise. You injected FICA and Medicare into the argument, and I never said those were not paid by everybody. I have repeatedly said that I think everybody SHOULD pay them, and that I am not bothered that they aren't paid over an income level of $87,000 or so. You seem to think this is unfair.

So the long and the short of it is even though I don't study tax tables all day, my argument has been proven to be correct. Surprise, surprise.

It is also funny that you jump in for poor Buddy to help him beat me in an argument with your chart, which DIRECTLY CONTRADICTED his statement below:

">>> But if 'VERY rich' is just the top 400 or 500 richest Americans (which is what I was meaning) then you see that they pay --- by far --- the lowest average effective rate, compared to any fifth of the sample group you look at."

Even Buddy didn't try to defend that hogwash. Thanks again for the back-up.
