There's a sentimental view if there ever was one. Cowboys are great on TV, but we're talking the real world, where largely illiterate cowboys had no problem raping indians and stealing their land and who engaged in vigilante law enforcement. Keep your cowboys, I'll go for literate educated open-minded types.
