but I'd think long and hard before buying a Ford, GM or Chrysler product.

Is it possible that it is the management in these three companies and not the unions and the American worker? I am inclined to ask this question after I see how successful Toyota and Nissan US management is in getting the best out of the American workers for their brand of cars manufactured here.
