I just watched Bob Woodward on 60 minutes. According to him, we've got a President who feels inferior to and distrusts "elites" (smart people?) and gets his advice and council from God. He feels it's America's mission to free the oppressed people of the world, and it comes straight from God. An old testament Jimmy Carter from Hell.

Six months before Saddam's "capture" Bush declared Mission Accomplished. It's a year later, and the war has accomplished nothing except to infuriorate the IRaqis and increase worldwide hatred for the US. People who truly love this country did not want this bush mess.

The stated mission of saving the Iraqi people from saddam's oppression has proven false. Now the Iraqis are oppressed by Americans - it's not the troops'fault by any means. They are only doing what they're told, and being told what to do by neocons who don't seem to care about the Iraqis or the Americans - only their interests - Israel.

US Christian based democracy won't work in Iraq any more than an Islamic theocracy would work here. China may view Bush as a terrible leader from whom Americans need rescuing, but at least they have the wisdom to know their religion and form of govt. wouldn't work here. So they'd have to kill us all. Maybe that's Bush's plan for Iraq after all. I don't know.
