I'll agree with you that killing will lead to killing and it's looks like an endless loop.
But it was up to Arafat to stop the Hamas, but instead his people are helping them.
So what you suggest Israel should do?
I can also agree that most of the settlements should be removed, but since there is only 7 miles from the West Bank to the sea in mid Israel, how can you make sure that both sides can live safely?
I don't have the answers......

Fighting with walls, bullets and bombs is the only thing that works right now. I'm sorry but civility goes by the wayside when dialogue is not an option and your right to exist is threatened at every turn. When terror is the only language your opposition wishes to speak with, then at a certain point, you have to speak that language too in order to get your message across. Perhaps you should heap more scorn on the PA leadership for choosing only to pursue a course of violence. Israel has shown good faith in the past, the PA leadership has shown none, imo.
