It is true that he may not be the best public speaker (although his speech on 9/14 was one of the greatest in our time), But all that stuff really does not matter. All of the leftward punditry's criticism of lack of an apology does not matter. All of the rightward's hand-wringing wishing he had answered this question or that question differently does not matter.

People look at these things and ask themselves: Do I believe him? Is he strong enough? Is he resolute? Do I like him?

The Washington punditry Drinks too much Washington water. One needs to consider how it plays in Peoria.
