< Canada and Mexico> NAFTA

<PR has "solved" all of Finland's electoral woes> No woes, nobody has complained for some 75 years.

But it is not as simple as what "PR" means to most in this world. Lots of other things involved.

One good example might to claim that the "really PR" systems are almost as far from the finnish system as they can be (skipping those few FPTP systems still around, who need to first understand some basics, then some more basics, and then another set of basics)

Sad thing, those norwegians quoting "The highest voting level is found in Belgium (90.6 per cent)"

Gets even funnier going into "women in parliement".

Funniest when understanding what "party lists" means.

Will Canada implement "party lists"??

Ouch, we got 0% in this <in 1999, more people stayed at home than voted for any party.>

We never vote for parties.

Btw, in Denmark one must decide on what to vote for, person or party. Germany has a smart system, copied by most nations capable to reform their ther system during the lates 75 years, one can vote for both.

However, FPTP-people are not expected to understand anything of that, it is even banned in the few which are busy doing their come-late reforms.

For example, who gets the joke about getting 50% women in parliament by setting up only women in every second voting districts?? (minor test on the understanding of how party lists work, or might work in FPTP-land)

Did you already google the special things, kind of reversed poll-taxes, on, for example Belgium??

Or how that Italian thing works, so often mentioned but not really, in FPTP-explanations??

Just testing the horizons, without getting into the frmr east block nations, Russia, China and the nation of today, India. (do you think Uk could copy the historical compromise of India, change the House of the Lords to PR, after getting rid of the Lords??)

Ouch, not to forget South Africa, and what is the demand for Afghanistan and probably also for Iraq.

What do you think about Australia and New Zealand, which way will they be forced to go??
