But Sharon's policies to "balkanize" the West Bank, effectively denying them any solid and credible borders, is JUST RIDICULOUS. Israelis wouldn't accept such an outcome so how the hell do you think Palestinians will be willing to do so? No, it isn't. The settlement blocks he is talking about are very close to the 5% of the West Bank that Barak talked about at Camp David. Of course all the pro-Palestinian side is screaming about balkanization, etc etc. But in reality, it will be 5 - 10% of the West Bank. And would you do me the favor to keep the discussion to real historians, and not troll the web for pro-Pal propaganda sites, which are easy enough to find? It is a complex situation, and nothing is easier than either taking real quotes out of context or just making them up, and they do both.
