I read the post.
I read your comment.
I read what you indicated Kerry stated on "Meet the Press."

By his "words being over the top", did he mean that the
atrocities he was reciting didn't actually happen or
were merely angry hyperbole?

The post you linked was addressed more to the overall
Vietnam conflict and made the case for Vietnam to have
been a mistake, etc. In other words, an anti-war
proposition.

I've no problem with anti-Vietnam sentiments.
I've never said otherwise.

Contrary to the comments in the linked post,
Kerry's actual testimony in 1971 suggested that
atrocities were widespread, ongoing and continuous.

As such, the allegations covered a wide swath of
military, and I believe they are rightfully
angered by such accusations.

It's not clear to me that Kerry has withdrawn those
claims, or, if he has not done so, that he supplied
proof to back them up.

Sure there were a lot of good people who opposed
the war in Vietnam. And there were a lot of reasons
to do so. I have a problem with the particular course
chosen by Kerry and those he chose to associate
himself with for that purpose.

He's the one who made Vietnam an issue in this
political season and his military service cannot be
divorced from his activities after separation.
