Some evil genius came up with a eutectic device consisting of any one of dozens of eutectic material combinations (a simple example would be powdered sulphur and iron oxide packaged in a plastic sleeving, which would keep the components stable at ambient temperature). Undoubtedly, DARPA has much more advanced chemical combinations available. When the fires in the WTC buildings elevated the temperature of these eutectic devices, the plastic melts away, the eutectic chemicals intermix creating a chemical reaction at critical locations on the major support columns and with the columns melted and weakened, collapse is inevitable. In this scenario, the flashes of light that some claim to see in videos are extraneous red herrings that have nothing to do with the main show, which is the failure of the main support columns, completely hidden from view, deep in the bowels of the buildings.
