That is indeed what some of them are fighting for.

And do you think that is something with which we should interfere?

Although I had (and expressed here on SI) true reservations about the initial decision to invade, it's now a fait accompli. Indeed, there have been positive and negative consequences as a result. However, unfortunately, to cut and run now would mean not only civil war and chaos in that country, but an even more dangerous and destabilized environment in the Middle East.

There is no easy answer to this one...
