That's a toughie - forget the Texas Congressional delegation though Lloyd Bentsen was a decent guy. I was very comfortable voting for Bush Sr. over Dukakis; too bad his presidency was such a wet Kleenex. I would vote for Clinton again despite his personal flaws.

Soooooooo - no, no one I can say I was ever wildly enthusiastic about. I was telling someone the other day that the only way I would ever go back into public affairs and politics again would be the chance to work for someone I really believed in. I suspect you will see me stay in the markets instead.

Redfish and Dale - There's never perfection, particularly after the attacks start.

Edwards seemed like a breath of fresh air. But of course, he had that lawyer thing. Right now I think he'd be 20 points ahead of Bush.

McCain - again honesty, a hero, down to earth, etc. But what would happen after they got some stuff on the first marriage? Or maybe he's mentally looped from being a POW.

Very sad but I want to think that either of these two would be 20-30 points ahead of Bush and Kerry and maybe we could mobilize the 50% of the eligible's who don't even bother to vote, or the people who don't bother to even register.
