It's best to pre-emptively ban anyone who is identified as a republican.

They don't play well with others.

Chris. Have a look at a poster on this thread American spirit....look back a bit and tell me if you approve of this kind of poster? I don't.

However it appears that this poster is pro democrat so that appears to make that kind of vicious behavior ok.

So I'm not talking about a poster being pro dem or pro rep.

I'm talking about just plain nasty.

Check out the Bush campaign's strategy regarding the service record of Kerry. First Kerry says, hey it's 30 years ago let's focus on the issues at hand today, I don't think we need to spend a whole lot of time discussing the service records of the candidates. That was a long time ago and we have pressing issues today.

So the Bush campaign right away starts this campaign against Kerry's service record. The whole hoohaw over ribbons and medals...and what was said over 30 years ago has been prominently posted on the RNC web site for days now as the "Top Story". Wow...I would have thought that Falujah was the top story.

Kerry in response to the republican attack reminds folks that the Bush and Cheney avoided the draft and avoided Vietnam.

Right away the attack dogs of the RNC now start saying to Kerry, "Hey you said it's not important to talk about candidates service records...so why are you criticizing
Bush and Cheney's records? Another example of Kerry flip flopping they say!

Can you believe it? First Kerry says lets take the high road. Then Bush tries to undercut him anyway, and Kerry then slips down to the RNC level, then they get after him for being as dirty as they are?!?

Gotta love it!

The problem with censoring threads, is that once one thread starts to censor, the discussion tends to move to another thread. Then that thread becomes a haven for attack dogs as they have a safe haven on their own censored thread, which no one can respond to...then they come here and dirty up this thread.

I've always thought that censoring is bad for the discussion, but once it gets started on one thread, it's likely to be needed on others. The best world would be one with out any censorship.

Since the Bush thread is heavily censored, Chinu may consider the need to censor a few of the worst offenders from this thread too.

My thinking is that Chinu and MKTBUZZ should both open up the threads to uncensored posting. But short of that some retaliatory censoring may be needed on this thread. Hopefully the discussion will not be harmed. In the case of JakeStraw...he was not adding to any intelligent discussion. If Chinu gave him the ax, then he was well deserved of being one of the casualties in the censor wars.

Actually mktbuzz is growing up and making the thread potentially more interesting and freer of speech. Good for him

ATTENTION PGWB POSTERS: What do you all think about through the election this fall, that no one will be banned from this thread. How about a free for all? Post at will, use your ignore, and we'll see what happens. Any thoughts?
