Ted, For the millionth time, what was in Russia was not communism. There were small elements of communism but most of it was a totalitarian, right wing oligarchy.

You can call it all you want, but the reality is that their ideal was a communism. It never worked out, which is why it turned into such a totalitarian system. Of course, the left-wing is now reviving those communist ideals into a new form called socialism, thinking that only the implementation failed, not that the fundamental ideas behind communism/socialism are flawed to begin with.


I give up! Go in ignorance.

The countries in Europe, including Sweden, are free market economies with socialistic overtones. They are doing very well thank you very much.

Europe has higher unemployment than America, for starters. So much for John "F is for France" Kerry's message of new jobs.


And they live longer, are healthier and mentally better balanced. I guess unemployment there isn't the stressor it is here.
