tonto, it is not a question of you said, he never said. His post points to general feeling that we are safer now from terrorism. I am saying it is not judging from the increase in level of terrorist attacks around the world. I am also saying when it comes to terrorism, it is a fallacy to distinguish between the US and the world.

To me a terrorist attack anywhere in the world is directed against the US whether it is in Spain, or Europe etc. Except in the Middle East. That one is between the Palestenians and the Israelis.

So let us not hastily conclude that we have won the war on terrorism and avoid the mistake of declaring "Mission Accomplished" too soon again.
