You have got to be kidding.....by definition a "caged animal" is not dangerous unless of course you stick your hand in the cage and agitate the caged.

And Don.. my friend.. Have you bothered to peruse any of the various biographies on Saddam, combined with his psychological profile?

His very name means "to crush", and he picked it out himself:

Saddam" is an epithet he adopted before he grabbed power, and is derived from the Persian word meaning "crush." "Saddam Hussein" is best translated as Hussein-Who-Crushes-Obstacles or Hussein-the-Destroyer.

He didn't pick out "Hussein the conciliator".. or "Hussein the weak", or even "Hussein the moderate"..

He picked out "Hussein the Crusher"...

And he certainly lived up to his name...
