If Josef Goebbels had read off the names of American war dead on his radio broadcasts during WWII, right-thinking Americans couldn't be more offended than the pending ratings stunt by ABC's Alfred E. Newman: Ted Kopple.

Kopple shouldn't wonder-if he ever did-if "It can happen here."...

There was a fellow on FOX news last night, I think it was on the Bill O'reilly program toward the end. I didnt get his name as I was out walking the dog and just got the last of it. But he has written a book about whats going on over there, lived there for some time in doing his book and at least the part I heard was VERY favorable about events in Iraq. As to these polls, he said taking a poll in Iraq is much different then taking one here, and that in his opinion well over 90% of the Iraqi's are glad we took out Saddam, many dont want us to be occupiers but again well over 90% dont want us to leave. So I guess this all boils down to the government in place. Maybe after 6/30 people will feel better about our being in Iraq? jdn
