6 personnel have been charged in the case. I haven't seen ANYONE justify it or make excuses for it. Nor have I seen any indication that the personnel involved were religious as some here have implied. No one that calls themselves Christian could justify this in any way - or make any excuses for it. Also I think seizing on incidents of abuse (which are always going to occur in a large organization) as a reason to condemn all service personnel, or their commanders, or Christians is pretty despicable too.
