I did not, in fact, say many of the things attributed to me. Some of the others are simply true, or remain to be seen. I was right, the Iraqi soldiers did surrender en masse, in many instances, or melted off and refused to fight. We are improving the economy in Iraq. I never made such a prediction about Chalabi, but noted that he was controversial and that said that I did not know what role he would play. I was actually staying away from SI during the war, so I did not, in fact, comment on whether Saddam had been killed at the time. I do not recall making any prediction about persons crossing borders or about troop levels, I would have to have the comments produced to acknowledge them or comment on them. I never said that France and Germany would beg for scraps of Iraqi reconstruction, although I did note when they complained that they were not allowed to bid. For the most part,either I was right, or it was a reasonable surmise that did not pan out, or Carl is misrepresenting me.........
