Congratulations to oldest daughter! We just got the word that Ammo didn't get the scholarship he was in the Final 5 for. It went to a 30-something year old who had returned to finish his degree. There is a lot of grumbling going on about it with the other four who don't believe the guy is that good an actor, so we are trying to really emphasize how proud we are that he made the top 5 and even for just entering the competition. You just never know what they are looking for. And in theatre you'd better get used to shrugging it off and moving on to the next audition anyway. Good practice. Older son arrives today to deliver his cat and move into the Residence Inn where his new company is putting him up for the training period. You are absolutely right about life not getting better when your kids are happy-- of course the opposite is also true as we both know. So let's enjoy the good stuff when it happens! Open a lambic.
