Well, I haven't seen anyone try to justify the guard's actions.

Who has condemned all US service personnel? Not I. Show me where. IF you are talking about someone else - say so.

The blanket criticism of our soldiers I noted in the comments section of the site I saw the photos published on. It was an unfamiliar site for me - had a girl's picture in a ball cap on it. I can't recall the name.

However, I did think your statement that you were sure some of the guilty guards run to Church every Sunday too, and pray was unwarranted. I know the alleged (and sometimes real) hypocrisy of religious people is a popular stereotype, it's actually very unlikely that a person who goes to church on Sunday and prays tortures people during the week.

Will YOU condemn now those soldiers that participated in the torture. Will YOU say you are shamed by them, and that the book should be thrown at them?

Of course, and I'm offended you would suppose otherwise! They should spend time in Leavenworth or some similar institution and be dishonorably discharged at the end of their sentence and I am confidant something along those lines will happen pretty swiftly.

I'm more interested in what you would say to them if you could? I hope you would not make excuses for them, or try to downplay it as something that "always will happen..."

I haven't suggested that its something that "always will happen" and again I resent your implication that I would say that.

The only post I noted where someone did say something like that:

It is shocking, but it's also what happens when young men go to war. There will always be abuses
