Suma, if your laptop has a Synaptics touch pad, there is a solution. Download the new driver and then you can adjust touch pad sensitivity. That's what I did after I kept getting deletions in posts I was typing.

I'm not sure what's going on with that so lets start over. Go to Start/Run and type in devmgmt.msc and click ok. Double click on mice and right click on the mouse you have installed and choose uninstall. Reboot and let Windows install the mouse for you again.
