Greg, Like any other stock guru or investor, Gilder has had his winners and he has had his losers. The claims he makes about the newsletter are about standard hype for the newsletter business. Actually, his hype is probably less shameless than other newsletter advertisements I get. He was right on with Qualcomm, years before others. He was also correct, IMHO, about the importance of the net. His failure was that he looked only at a company's technology, and not their finances. He also did not seem to have a firm grasp of the market cycles concept. I subscribed to his newsletter for a year, but do not like his writing style and did not continue the subscription. Never made an investment based soley on his advice, although his influence may have delayed the exit from my ill fated foray into Loral. Nonetheless, I think he has some good ideas, and it will bode very good things for MRVC if the opinions in his speech are correct. Thus I thought it worth posting here.
