No, I wasn't reading the thread on a regular basis then--I did occasionally look at it and post, but I don't really recall exactly when I began reading more regularly--I'm still sort of in and out. So I wasn't as attuned to Carl's rants about not going to war. But I thought that this war was a really stupid idea, too, so I wouldn't have been as offended by it. I still think that--as I have said a number of times, we should have finished with Osama first. Whatever it took to do that. And stabilize Afghanistan, while we exerted more diplomatic pressure on Iraq.

Yeah yeah I know what people like Hawk and Nadine will say.
Sorry, don't mean to rehash it again.

Hi CobaltBlue; Re: "Were you reading the thread while Carl was arguing that we would not go to war ..."

Troops are dying daily in Iraq and this is all you can talk about.

Re: "And we argued about it until March, 2003, so that's seven months of Carl being insufferable."

The complain that I am "insufferable" is going to fall on deaf ears, LOL. That should be obvious to anyone who reads more than one of my posts. But you refuse to acknowledge that during that 7 month period, you repeatedly posted expectations that the war would begin during periods of time when there was no war.

Re: "Very rude, and not one single word about being wrong. Carl, you see, is never wrong."

Either you're getting forgetful in your old age or a bit of hysteria has crept in to your post. What you're doing here is trying to describe me as an insane person who does not recognize even the most obvious things. This is not the case. I most certainly did acknowledge that the war began and I most certainly did acknowledge that I was wrong about this. Hell, I repeatedly did this.

Your real problem is that you have great difficulty seeing US troops in a position of other than victory. Like Custer, your mindless patriotism would lead troops into a disaster.

By the way, it's now clear that the prison system in Iraq could have used your work. Too bad you weren't in the reserves, you would have been very useful over there.
