War is about death and destruction not aid and comfort. War is about intimidation, fear, strongarming, terror, trepidation, panic and unbelievable horror. I am not condoning the actions of our MPs. I am convinced they will be properly dealt with. The punishments will be severe and public. Yet we do need perspective. Nobody ever won a war because they had the most aid and comfort. Nobody ever lost a war because they took a few pictures of a few, otherwise healthy, nude POWs. If you want to raise hell about the treatment of soldiers...scream about the recent four slaughtered GIs whose bodies were doused in gasoline, burned and then hung from a bridge. Then review the photos of 9/11 and reread the recent history of Saddam Hussein's brutality. uw
