Best I can tell, Bill and I are in sync on this. I am constantly amazed about which post will set off a flurry of posts. The "Commandment" one certainly did.

I think you and I are having a massive communication failure. I don't think so. I think Kerry meant just what he said - that it was one of the Ten Commandments. inferring that "commandment" is not meaningful apart from the Ten Commandments? Not in that context. One could also rationalize that he meant it to refer to the pronouncements of little green men from Mars, but that would be insane. I'm sure if cornered on it, Kerry would rationalize somewhat along the same lines you have - he meant it to refer to Christ's "commandments". But that, IMO, is indicative of something far worse than confusing the New and Old Testaments. Namely, Weasel Mind. Derek
