They are enemies of the USA, [allegedly], which is why they are there and they are aliens, which is why they are there instead of in a USA court, like John Walker Lindh. From photographs of the prisoners, and the conditions of their accommodation, I'd say harsh is a reasonable representation of their conditions. Sleep deprivation and the other approved [and unapproved, which we have recently seen] means of pressure are harsh. < A camp where civilians, enemy aliens, political prisoners, and sometimes prisoners of war are detained and confined, typically under harsh conditions. > I think the Iraqi prisoners would say conditions were harsh. Certainly harsh enough to have them compliantly performing naked tricks for the amusement of their captors. Yes, concentration camp. Why not just accept that the USA is running concentration camps. Then further cruel excesses might be avoided by admitting the truth. We have first gathered the prisoners together. Next come the dehumanizing harsh conditions and violent acts against them. We don't even have 30% unemployment and Great Depression conditions to contend with, unreasonable reparation conditions and a culture of militarism. Let's see how things are in 5 years. Those who don't learn from history are condemned to repeat it, to coin a phrase. Maybe there will yet be a Final Solution for Moslems. They have one planned for me! It's got a word, dhimmitude [which I only heard of recently] dhimmitude.org I don't have a problem with concentration camps. I do want them managed well, in a civilized way. Calling a spade a spade [not a shovel or other euphemism]. Mqurice
