dawgy, Linksys router for forty bucks and free shipping
amazon.com

Linsys stuff is easy to install and you can get help here, if needed.

Gottfried
PS: two modems would mean the ISP 'sees' two different addresses and I don't think they'll go for that. But it can't hurt to ask them.

Routers can be pretty small and not that hard to hook up. If you can hook up a modem or a DSL "modem" you can probably hook up the router. The prices for routers have gone down a lot. It shouldn't cost to much unless you want a wireless router.

junk,

You can get a router for under fifty bucks and hook up four computers all using the same dsl line - no need to hook up another modem, and the router is the same size as a modem - if you have room for the extra modem, you will have room for a router.
