So I can buy that router and hook up a single DSL line into the router and run both computers off if it and both computers will have DSL?

two modems would mean the ISP 'sees' two different addresses and I don't think they'll go for that. But it can't hurt to ask them

They would probably want him to pay for two phone lines and two DSL connections.
