the chapter Job is the last time that God spoke
directly to the people or vice/versa.
God was still honored as the creator,
but his miracles were no longer necessary.

Those are questions that God asked of Job to show him how little he understood and that God is in control even when we can't see how. We always want to know WHY, but that would be like explaining calculus to a slug.
