Teresa Heinz Kerry is the ultimate unpatriotic person because she foisted her playboy of the western world husband on the American people as a presidential candidate. If it wasn't for her $500M he would never have decided to run.
I agree, Mrs. Kerry should speak more often. They've kept her rather muzzled so far.

Think about it uw. Her husband was one of the most
outspoken anti-war activists back then. You'd think he
would have said what Cheney did was very patriotic.

A privileged youth, a taste for risk

....As graduation approached, Kerry knew that he had three choices: be drafted, seek a deferment for graduate school, or join up and position himself to become an officer. ``It was clear to me that I was going to be at risk,'' Kerry recalled. ``My draft board . . . said, `Look, the likelihood is you are probably going to be drafted.' I said, `If I'm going to be drafted, I'd like to have responsibility and be an officer.' ''

At the same time, Kerry was losing interest in academics and was ready for adventure. ``I cut classes,'' Kerry said. ``I didn't do much. I spent a lot of time learning to fly.''

Kerry also had political ambitions -- and was aware of how much military service had served John Kennedy's career. ``John would clearly say, `If I could make my dream come true, it would be running for president of the United States,' '' recalled William Stanberry, Kerry's debate team partner for three years. ``It was not a casual interest. It was a serious, stated interest. His lifetime ambition was to be in political office.''....

Kerry graduated from Yale in 66 and enlisted in the Navy in 67. The draft wasn't reinstated til 69-- was there some other kind of draft before that? (I can remember the 69 draft vividly) Had he waited til 69, his number would have been 39, but he wouldn't have been included since the eligible birth date was 1944 and he was born in Dec. 43.

I am getting rumors that Kerry volunteered because his student draft deferments had expired and he was about to be drafted. Probably wanted to control which service he went into.

Also read this somewhere. He chose USN to avoid the Army.

Agree....The Democrats should continue letting Teresa Heinz Kerry blather....and blather, and blather...! She seemed to be at her very best officious self today....

We all know what happened when Hillary took over health care.... If Kerry gets elected, maybe the SUV manufacturers better hide....she will be redesigning all of them!
