Resignation is more of a Euro or Asian thing. Certainly not an Arab thing. The Arab nations did ask Saddam politely to resign but it seems he was wont to do so. Of course he had a mandate from his people;). ....about 99.8%.

Saw an IRAQI on T/V this morning, he said it would be a big mistake for Rummy to resign that he actually is very popular in Iraq. jdn
