These guys are not from the middle 40%... let's face it, we're all pretty, um, serious about our politics on this thread. Hardly a reflection of the overall population. I'm not saying it will happen overnight. But people have graphically seen what arrogance and aggression and the rest of the bellicose crap can do to our kids. It made them monsters. Can anyone picture their own little girl doing what English did? Guess what folks, it's not by any means out of the question. And as more kids come home emotionally crippled, people will take note. These things take a while to seep into the American psyche. In Vietnam, it seemed to take forever. "Love it or leave it" was the battle cry of middle America for many, many years. Then, it changed.
