Bob, I have no issue with people that cannot support Kerry. Personally, I've spent some time looking into his past and I feel reasonably comfortable voting for Kerry.

My post was referring to Bush supporters. If they cannot vote for Kerry, fine. They should vote 3rd party. But I don't understand why anyone would vote for Bush (except his mother). He is clearly a terrible President.

Bush is a proven quantity: Bad. I tend to be an optimist, and I think Kerry will be fine. (I also thought Bush would be OK, although I always thought he was a dim bulb) As I've written before, we will have a Republican congress, so I even if I am disappointed in Kerry, things will be OK.

Best to you! Happy Mothers day mom!

Kerry isn't promising "goodies" he is promising fiscal responsibility. He is keeping or improving tax cuts to 98% of Americans. He will also scale back corporate welfare, tax cuts for large estates, close massive loopholes and rescind get-out-of-taxes-free cards for major corpoprate interests and jobs outsourcers, improve IRS collection against tax cheats, do away with certain Bushie nuclear weapons programs, bring down the cost of health care and prescription drugs, gradually end the war in Iraq.

The revenue and savings generated from these moves equals 400-500 billion per year which is enough to do what he's promising. However, he's also stated that if revenues fall short, his policies will have to be scaled back. We pay as we go from now on, no more outrageous deficit spending as if there is no tomorrow. Such rampant deficits weaken our nation and if they continue will bankrupt our governmment.

Kerry's plans are honest, fair, common sense and reform-minded. Why would anyone have a problem with them? And why does the rightwing contually defend billionaires against paying their fair share?
