Your curmudgeon credentials are well polished in your latest posts. :) *** Re: Okay, but first show me any article by Pitt that at it's core does not stick to the straight party line of the Bush Cartel. Since I'm not a fan, my view is only based on a casual test sampling over a period of time, When published nearly two years ago, the LIHOP theory was definitely at the cutting edge of the skeptic's viewpoints, and hardly something anyone sane could declare to be a "limited hangout" by the Bushies: truthout.org Exposing PNAC to the light of day in early 2003 was hardly something designed to give the Bushies cover: truthout.org Exposing the sick underbelly of the war profiteers is hardly an endearing diversion for the sake of the Bushistas: truthout.org Clarke, prior knowledge about 9/11, not the Bush line at all: truthout.org The Real Thing in journalism today, not a list of Bush favorites: truthout.org *** Re: and it's quite possible I've missed some pieces worthy of honorable mention. Yes, you did. ** Re: In the mean time, I'll ask you how someone with the resources of a "Mighty Wurlitzer" would go about reaching and influencing the views of a target audience of persons with left leaning views? For that, you have the sell-out whores like Christopher Hitchens, Michael Ignatieff and David Corn. All three with hidden connections to the Zionist movement, and clearly distributed and publicized connections to "leftist" and "human rights" movements. With regard to 9/11, there is a segment of the "left" press that has consistently pooh-poohed the rather more strident viewpoints of From the Wilderness, 9/11 Citizen Watch, the Family Steering Committee, etc. Publications such as The Nation, and media outlets such as Democracy NOW! and NPR are clearly engaged in efforts to downplay the 9/11 story. There is a consistent pattern to this timidity. It all has to do with various media being on the teat of foundations that have a marginally progressive attitude, but no useful tolerance for the truth to be told about a shadow government taking over America's reigns of power. In other words, 9/11 is a "third rail" for a lot of the progressive media. William Rivers Pitt goes a lot farther toward examining and explaining 9/11 than many of my other (and otherwise) favorite journals and programs.
