Fascism is a perfectly good word that might usefully be rescued from the ash heap, cleaned up, and restored to civil discourse.

Hey CB.. I've always had Fascism defined to me as concentration of the government under a nationalistic or ideological elite, with tight socio-economic controls over the private sector.

And the religious extremists, as a religious elite, definitely satisfy this definition.
