You seem to get lost on the point a lot. It is wearisome to argue with someone who can't focus. I'll summarize my points, and you can do the same and I'll read them, or not, whatever.

1) Evil people have hijacked religion now and in the past, in the name of earthly gains. That does not reflect on the religion itself.

I've made the point that the Crusades were a Christian call against the Muslims, which nearly all scholars (even Christian historians) accept. You reject that, and thus reject what is the opinion of nearly all learned scholars who specialize in that era.

2) Bin Laden is the latest to attempt to hijack a religion for his own evil purposes. Many have come to his side, but it is an incredibly small percentage of the worldwide Muslim population. Far more rejected his attack on Sept 11th. Subsequently, many have become opposed to our invasion of Iraq, which you mistake for support for bin Laden's original attack. This view, that bin Laden is operating outside the laws of Islam, is shared by many Muslims, Christians, and even Bush and his administration. You, however, seem to know better. Again, ignore the reality.

3) Bush is playing right into bin Laden's hand. He had scant support from the Muslim world for taking his fight to America UNTIL Bush blundered along in his 'war on terrorism' into Iraq in search of imaginary weapons. Bush has managed to unite many previously feuding factions of militant Muslims, and filled their recruiting ranks. The world is significantly less safe from terrorism today than on Sept 12th, a view that is increasingly shared by the world and by Americans.

4) You are what I call a 'cyberbully'. Maybe your parents beat you with a pipe, maybe a priest sodomized you, maybe you have three nipples or, like Hitler, one nut. I don't know, and frankly don't care. I started out the discussion in a respectful way, but you quickly showed your true nature with a Coulter mixture of condescension and name calling. Your type only understands the like, and like the bully on the playground, can't take it when someone stands up to you. I can just see your face getting all red and puffy when someone actually stands up to your clever but empty little arguments.

What is extremely amusing is that a good number of your kind call yourself 'Christians'. Hehe, I guess you mean it in the "I'm-a-full-of-hate-and-self-loathing" kind of Christian. Guess I missed the part of the Bible that says "hate thy neighbor". Your kind of self righteous 'solutions' to the world's problems have been shown as complete failures. Get over it, or you'll need lots of therapy, or a fitting of one of Cyberken's special coats.
