Who said I was "perfectly comfortable"? Obviously, it is a hideous choice to have made. If I believed, as you do, that it was not warranted by an assessment of the situation, I would be against it, as you are. I have become convinced, though, that it was based on the best assessment of the available options, and that it saved more lives, including those of Japanese civilians, than it took. You are so self- righteous, you will not even entertain the idea that those responsible were the normal, decent human beings they appeared to be, and that they were acting in good faith.........
