Well, there is NO DOUBT in my mind that those guards were HIGHLY UNDERTRAINED. I dont fault Rummy for that, I fault their commanding officer starting with that General and on down. The book says they are to receive such and such training, it is the COMMANDERS responsibility to see it is done. Surely NO ONE is dumb enough to think the Secy of Defense is supposed to AUDIT EVERY UNIT to make sure they got their training, THAT AINT HIS JOB!! Secondly, there is also no doubt in my mind there was a SEVERE lack of discipline under her command. That contributed to the mess. Finally, the General was in fighting with HER superior (Sanchez) and instead of worrying about HER JOB and what SHE was supposed to do she was sniping and dodging. IMHO she was UNFIT to command. JDN
