Re: Guidance. I recall that QCOM often updates its guidance prior to an analyst meeting so that they can discuss the new guidance without violating SEC disclosure rules, which prevent disclosing key information ONLY to analysts. This is a fairly recent rule change and would explain the new guidance on the eve of the analyst day in New York, May 13.

Jim,
As we get a little better view into WCDMA growth in 2005, a market until now unavailable to us, we will begin to receive increasing amounts of royalties from our ACIC competitors and on the handset sales these ASIC are used in. These royalties hit the bottom line at around 90% of sales not a revenue source to ignore, even if the numbers are still small.
Do you have any forecasts for this new revenue source?
Thanks
Bruce
