I said that you ascribe to a philosophy that the good of the few outweigh the good of the many.

Let me put this a different way...

What if you see a criminal shielding himself/herself behind a small crowd of children. Let's also assume that you are the only one that could free the children. But the only way to do this is to shoot and kill the criminal. Would you do it?
